PSP Stereo Pack
There appeared a new company in the world of VST plug-ins. It is called PSP. First of all they are Polish and have just released their first Polish collection of plug-ins: PSP StereoPack. It is a set of four plug-ins designed to control stereophony. And they gave one more surprise, which I will tell you about at the end.
They surely might have released just one plug-in instead of four but they decided to widen the possibilities. I think it is a very good idea. Why toil over one large plug-in if we just want to use a small part of it. With PSP plug-ins we just switch on what we want to use. This is what the set contains ?
Pseudo Stereo
As one can notice the user interface is very nice, simple without any unnecessary sophistication. PSP PseudoStereo is design to simulate stereo on the basis of a mono track. It gives a very good result and works beyond reproach. Nothing more nothing less. It is ideal if you want to add some space and depth to for example a guitar solo. By changing the settings of the plug-in we can get really surprising effects. Moreover it is a very good idea to supply to a plug-in together with the factory programs. (I wish all companies did that...). They is why one may so quickly realize what large possibilities the device offers - from spatial effects to the effect of a choir...
Stereo Enhancer
It is not the same plug-in as the previous one. It works on a stereo track to add space to it. The quality of the effect is the same as in the previous case. There are no millions of knobs, just things you may really need. One should check the effect after making it mono to ensure one will not get into phase problems. The effect might be annoying so do not use to much of the plug-in.
Stereo Controller
This plug-in is designed to improve the stereo sound it is distorted in any way. You will not need it very often unless you spoiled something before. Since an ear can not always be trusted I recommend using a PSP StereoController simultaneously with PSP StereoAnalyser :
Isn?t it easier to correct any sound irregularities if we can visualize them? Some practice is enough to evaluate it using your own ears and at the same time see what is wrong and should be corrected.

To sum up, I think the plug-ins are OK (or even more): They are user-friendly, errors have been discovered so far, they have a nice interface... An they are cheap - 24 USD won?t ruin anyone.
Oops! I nearly forgot about the surprise I promised you. As far as I know PSP is the only company in the world to offer VST 2.0 game!!! Yes you?ve got it correctly. Of course it isn't a fully 3-dimensional game but it is really cool. And its free. Good, job, guys!
